Phew! Good thing I know I need to loose weight - if not these pictures sure show it ;) This is Butterick 4598 that I made last fall. It still needs to be hemmed but I cannot find the hem tape which I also purchased last fall. I put it away in a safe place - sound familiar? I was going to get it hemmed while on vacation but I have another problem with it. That V at the front neck sticks out - you really can't see it in these pictures but I have to fix it somehow. I will post on Stitcher's Guild and see what is recommended. And this won't be worn until quite a few pounds are gone!

I am working on another Vogue 8472 and have the tissue fitting done and it is cut out. The dress is black with tiny white dots and the jacket will be red.

I am also working on a quilt from 2006 from block of the month by Beth Ferrier. I am appliquing by hand - I just couldn't bring myself to do this on the machine so it is going slowly. I should finish the main body tonight and then I will layer and baste it together and start hand quilting on it. I'm going to quilt it in sections since I lap quilt and don't want to drag the whole thing around because it is huge. I will still have the 4 corners to applique and there is a lot on each one.

I also signed up for a bargello class from Quilt University that starts Saturday. We will learn 4 different bargello techniques and I hope to use some of my hand dyed fabric for this. This will be fun - I need something different. Not sure I need another project but it will be fun anyway :)

The Butterick dress looks really good on you. You got a nice fit with the pattern.
