It was sized for petites so I had to lengthen it several places since I'm 5'9". This was the first time I had done a Hong Kong seam finish - not hard at all after I understood what to do. I really thank Laura for all of her help on this coat. I visited her blog many, many times and sent a few emails also. Even with her busy life right now she took the time to answer and I'm so very appreciative.
Next is Burda #105 from May 2008. This is a very lightweight (as you can see) cotton and will be very cool to wear. I got this from Metro Textiles last year. Either I'm standing crooked or I don't have it adjusted in the photo of the back.
I have several pieces in the wash preshrinking now for a pair of slacks, dress, jacket, and pull on black crinkle pants to wear around the house. But the main thing up next is the Simplicity 4084 for the coat sew-along as my second coat. It's time to draw in the seams and then cut out. This is a long process and after it is cut then I have to thread trace ALL the markings. This makes it much easier to analyze the fit after trying it on.
I only had one comment on the muslin fit for V2884 as my first coat. Since it's a loose fitting coat, I think I'm good to go on it.
