My Mom is 95 and lost the sight in her left eye Sunday. She spends most of her days reading and this is going to be very hard on her. I met my sister at the doctor this morning for her follow up appointment (after seeing the doctor in the ER on Sunday). They did many tests and it sounded like the loss of sight is permanent and the possibility of her loosing sight in the right eye is probable. A temporal arterial biospy is being scheduled.

She was born in 1913 and has always been quite a lady. She went to the University of KY and got her masters in home economics. She instilled so many good things in me - a positive can do attitude and love of sewing are two of the best. I wish I had the words to describe her but right now I can't. The tears seem to have come after a long day. I hope and pray she is able to keep the sight in right eye.
